THE CASTLE MIX N°11 * DEV79
La première fois où le nom de Dev79 m'est apparu, c'était sur le macaron de ce vinyl sorti sur Zenapolae en 2003. Vous comprendrez donc qu'entre Dev79 et moi, c'est une longue histoire musicale qui dure depuis près de 8 ans! Il en est de même pour le reste des membres de Château Lateuf: son nom est synonyme de dubstep, de grime, d'idm ou d'illbient - styles musicaux qui représentent les racines même de la création de notre "crew" il y a plusieurs années où les productions Slit Jockey étaient déjà à l'honneur dans nos playlists (surtout "From The Get" de Dev79).
Basé à Philadelphie, il est un des acteurs majeurs de la scène Grime/Dubstep d'outre atlantique, et, avec Starkey, il est à la tête de Seclusiasis (prolifique label, radio show et soirées inoubliables!) depuis 2001 et de Slit Jockey Records . Il ne cesse depuis lors de représenter la "Street Bass", style que l'on pourrait résumer comme le lien entre musique "mainstream", hip hop et la culture "8 bars". (se procurer sans hésitations les "Street Bass Anthems" Series!).
Dev SeveNine nous fait aujourd'hui l'honneur de signer le 11ème volume des Castle Mix Series avec une tracklist fidèle au son Seclusiasis et un mix qui risque de faire des dégâts à votre getthoblaster! #PlayItLoud!

Its been just over a year since Volume 4 of the "Street Bass Anthems" series and Dev79 and Starkey have been re-thinking the concepts and all the material they have at hand...and they've decided to break it off into 2 separate mixtapes! "Street Bass Anthems Volume 5" will be hitting at the end of the Summer with all exclusive original tracks and remixes.
While the current Street Bass Bootlegs features a slew of bootleg remixes, refixes and blends of that hot shit your ears need and want.

Dev79 est une des figure de Philadelphie, il est avec Starkey à l'origine de labels, radio show et soirées telles que Slit Jockey, Seclusiasis (ne pas passer à côté des séries Street Bass Anthems!) Straigth Dope. Il nous a envoyé dans notre dropbox ce mix il y a déjà quelques semaines et on ne pouvait pas le garder indéfiniment pour nous! (en fait on a honteusement pas regardé notre dropbox depuis un moment: désolé!)
