DROP THE LIME - DEVIL'S EYES (TOMB CREW REMIX)

The heavy bass champions of Trouble & Bass release the awaited Drop The Lime's "Devils Eyes" EP. A 13 tracks EP including the original vocal tune and the club mix, with 11 remixes of awesome producers like Supra1, Kanji Kinetic, Diplo among others.
They kindly offered the remix of ours pals from london, the infamous Tomb Crew, who once again kill it with a massive dubstep production on the buttons and the featuring of the more infamous MC Illaman! We are lucky enough to play this banger since some months and we can tell you each time it's a proper smashing!

BACK IN THE DAYS WITH DROP THE LIME!

Sometimes in the Castle we feel a bit nostalgic of our early days of the crew, waiting for the next gig to play the new track of the Trouble & Bass Champion Luca Venezia aka Drop The Lime. We felt really close to this crew because we shared (and still have) the same vision of how to make a party: playing in a same night, in a same dj set grime, dubstep, 2step, rave or electro music, but the Brooklyn based lads and their champion had a bigger weapon, the Heavy Bass! Drop The Lime had the brilliant idea to produce something that sounds like the perfect combination of a bit of house, dubstep, techno, grime and ghetto: the Heavy Bass was born!
So we're back in the days with that awesome DTL's remix of Infants we rocked a billion times and one of his early T&B mix that i guess we listened a thousand times!!

CHATEAULICIOUS 2: THE NEW REIGN

Pour ce post, Tommy Kid nous dit tout sur le concept de ses "Chateaulicious":

"Chateaulicious, c’est rassembler sous forme d’un mix d’une heure tous les tracks que j’ai le plus appréciés et joués lors des 6 derniers mois avec Chateau LaTeuf. Pour cette seconde édition (la première étant downloadable ici et là: http://www.mixcloud.com/tommykid/chateaulicious/), je souhaitais mettre en avant 2 phénomènes qui ont indéniablement fait évoluer la Bass music en 2009: la « funkyisation » des beats et la « dutchisation » des synthés… Vous l’aurez compris, on parle ici de l’influence du UK Funky et de la Dutch house qui a sérieusement touché tous les producteurs actuels.
Ce Chateaulicious 2, justement nommé « the new reign », évoque cette nouvelle tendance, et rassemble de nombreux anthems de 2009 comme les morceaux Crack House de Zinc et Redlight mais aussi quelques exclusivités (pour le moment) comme le United Groove remixé par MJ Cole ou le Holy Ghost revisité par Drop The Lime. Après avoir été playlisté par Drop The Lime et bien d'autres, le morceau du Châtelain Dj Comix "Run Da Track" (qui est d'ailleurs toujours présent à l'heure où nous écrivons ce post dans le "Top Bangers To Sweat To Right Now" de DTL) a charmé nos 2 amis londonniens Venom & Damage, qui après l'avoir joué à chaque soirées n'ont pas pu s'empêcher de le remixer à leur sauce!

Drop The Lime est un de nos dj et producteur que l'on affectionne le plus! (on a déjà dû vous le dire!). Voici le dernier mix en date, enregistré lors de la soirée Infatuation du blog Big Stereo .
