Notre 12ème rendez vous sera definitivement "House" avec Lakosa (aussi connu sous l'alias de LO:TEK). Tout droit venu des Midlands (UK),il fait partie de cette talentueuse nouvelle génération de compositeur/dj house qui fait déjà parler d'elle (South London Ordnance, Bondax, Pale, Io...).

Lakosa est certainement un nom qu'il vous faut retenir car avec des sorties prévues sur des labels tels que Shifting Peaks ou Fortified Audio et un guest mix le mois dernier pour l'émission de radio de Mary Anne Hobbs sur XFM, 2012 s'annonce comme une belle année pour lui!

THE CASTLE MIX N°11 * DEV79

La première fois où le nom de Dev79 m'est apparu, c'était sur le macaron de ce vinyl sorti sur Zenapolae en 2003. Vous comprendrez donc qu'entre Dev79 et moi, c'est une longue histoire musicale qui dure depuis près de 8 ans! Il en est de même pour le reste des membres de Château Lateuf: son nom est synonyme de dubstep, de grime, d'idm ou d'illbient - styles musicaux qui représentent les racines même de la création de notre "crew" il y a plusieurs années où les productions Slit Jockey étaient déjà à l'honneur dans nos playlists (surtout "From The Get" de Dev79).

Basé à Philadelphie, il est un des acteurs majeurs de la scène Grime/Dubstep d'outre atlantique, et, avec Starkey, il est à la tête de Seclusiasis (prolifique label, radio show et soirées inoubliables!) depuis 2001 et de Slit Jockey Records . Il ne cesse depuis lors de représenter la "Street Bass", style que l'on pourrait résumer comme le lien entre musique "mainstream", hip hop et la culture "8 bars". (se procurer sans hésitations les "Street Bass Anthems" Series!).

Dev SeveNine nous fait aujourd'hui l'honneur de signer le 11ème volume des Castle Mix Series avec une tracklist fidèle au son Seclusiasis et un mix qui risque de faire des dégâts à votre getthoblaster! #PlayItLoud!

We're back! And we're not alone! Jubilee made us the honor to realize the Castle Mix n°10.

We guess we don't need to introduce you this bass music that never stop DJ, but here's just a little reminder: she runs the Nightshifters label with Jason Forrest, she runs with Nick Catchdubs and Ayres the mighty "Flashing Lights" parties in NYC, she's the half of Bassanova with the ex-Tunderheist Grahmzilla, she regularly DJs throughout the US and Europe....

And now, Jubilee has his own radio show "Fireworks", on both Brooklyn Radio and Electric Soundstage (iHeartRadio’s new electronic station), bringing the best of the upfront bass music.

Who said grime was dead? The two grime djs Elijah and Skilliam work hard to tell you that it's not! These partners run the Butterz Label (that started as a blog), are resident djs on Rinse FM,  helped to co-launch Grime Forum, and dj around Uk and Europe.
Even if they recognize that "UK has some of the best MC talent on the planet", they focus on playing mainly instrumental tunes, new unknown producers with big names unreleased and forthcoming material.
This year, their Butterz label released material of Terror Danjah, Swindle, Starkey, D.O.K, Royal T, TRC, Mr Mitch & SRC .... So watch out 2011, grime is back (and it never left!).

2010 was also the rise of their talent of selector and mixtape maker, with some guest mixes to XLR8R, Fact Mag or Numbers. They authorised Club, Bass & Wine to take their "Nothing but my Butterz T-Shirt on" (promo mix they done a couple of months ago for the launch of the Butterz T-shirt collection) for our Castle Mix Series, it was sleeping in our vault, and we couldn't keep it anymore, enjoy!

Time for a new Castle mix series chapter!
Today, behind the decks, it's Damu, dj and producer hailing from Manchester. He put together a awesome selection of sounds that's going on at the moment (Night Slugs, C.R.S.T, Deadboy....) including some of his own productions, it's woth checking his soundcloud page, this guy is really skilled on the buttons and had already some great support from Deep Teknologi or Rinse djs like Dusk & Blackdown.
Damu is definitely a producer to watch in the future.

After this long break (already 3 months!), the Castle Mix Series n°5 is finally back! and it is worth waiting for it: this new volume is mixed by C.R.S.T. aka Chesus, Rodski, Stroud & Tony Blitz from South Wales. These djs and producers are always on top with the garage vibe, and just have an EP released on Bigger Than Barry Records called "Future Step EP" (buy it here), they also have in the pipeline some more stuff on the infamous No Hats No Hoods label (including remixes from Doc Daneeka, Mosca and Marcus Nasty) and On The Brink.

Il y a peu de temps, on vous parlait de notre ami Hostage pour la sortie de son EP sur le label Nightshifters (c'était là!)... Et le voici de retour! Comment quelqu'un qui vient d'Ecosse, le pays des châteaux hantés, ne peut pas se lier d'amitié avec un crew qui en possède un!
Il nous revient donc avec le 4ème opus exclusif des "Castle Mix Series", où s'entrecroisent fidget house, rave, dubstep et surtout des morceaux exclusifs comme "Red Dragon Disco"ou "Skin Out", et d'autres remixs à venir!

Il y a maintenant environs une année le Château a acceuilli pour une soirée à Toulouse le crew de Barcelone "Plat Du Jour" dont K**O (the K, the I, the G, the O!) fait partie. Excellent Dj, le courant est tout de suite passé entre nous, surtout que à l'époque il s'intéressait tout comme nous à un style que beaucoup de monde découvre ces derniers temps: la Uk Funky. On s'échangeait alors les premiers tubes qui envahissaient Londres comme le "Sirens" de Hard House Banton, "Funky Flex" de Lil Silva ou encore "Greenlight" de Foot steps....
Depuis cette rencontre il n'a pas cessé d'être actif: avec son (excellent!) blog Desparrame et son crew Plat Du Jour il organise les soirées les plus en vue de Barcelone qui ont déjà acceuilli Radioclit, Top Billin, Jackmaster, Patchwork Pirates, The Requesters, Sidechains, Tomb Crew, Joker, Mumdance, Toddla T, Supra 1, pour en citer quelques-uns! Ses mixs réguliers sont à l'honneur sur Fact Magazine our Serie B, et l'été dernier il était invité au Sonar!

Second volume des mixs exclusifs du château! Après New York et The Captain (Trouble & Bass), c'est de London Town que NoYeahNo (Rag'N'Bone) nous donne un cours magistral en matière de "Bass"! Elle a le background suffisant pour te donner une leçon: elle a fait ses premières armes sur la radio pirate Fantasy Fm en pleine explosion rave, depuis elle a traversé l'europe pour y jouer, explorant les genres musicaux (rave, uk hardcore, chigago house, acid house, techno, twisted breaks, jungle, breakbeat, dubstep...), elle est à la tête (avec Warlock, autre grande figure de l'underground londonien) du label Rag'N'Bone (Kanji Kinetic, Drop The Lime, Excision, Stagga, Blackmass Plastic, Warlock et bien sûr NoYeahNo!) et d'un radio show bi-mensuel sur SubFm.
